About Chet Wild:

Picture
Chet Wild’s performances blend self-deprecating humor with witty crowd interaction, building a relationship with the audience and making them laugh (whether it’s with him or at him).  Chase Roper of Punchline Magazine has described Wild as “A strong performer with a unique voice.”  Beyond finding humor in his own flaws, Wild seeks to share his views - mostly frustrations – on practically anything.

Currently residing in Buffalo, Wild is combining his passions for higher education and comedy while finishing up his Master of Science degree in Creative Studies with a focus in Humor.  In doing so, Wild has trained at The American Comedy Institute under Stephen Rosenfield and has also worked with a variety of other industry talents honing his skills in stand-up, improv, and more.   Wild’s drive, professionalism, work ethic, and talents are earning him the respect of both club owners and fellow comedians wherever he goes.

Recently, Wild’s had the opportunity to perform at NYC’s Gotham Comedy Club, Universal Studio Hollowood’s Jon Lovitz Comedy Club, and The Improv (both Brea and Pittsburgh) where he opened for Kyle Cease (2009 Winner of Comedy Central’s Stand-Up Showdown).  In the past year Wild has been on the cover of The Buffalo News, received a full page feature in Rochester Insider Magazine, and has been a regular guest on Rochester morning radio’s The Wease Show .  While finishing up grad school this spring you can catch him most weekends as house emcee at ‘The Comedy Club’ in Rochester, NY where he’s worked with such national acts as Jim Florentine, Bobby Slayton and Rich Vos.
