About Chet Wild:
Chet Wild’s performances blend self-deprecating humor with witty crowd interaction, building a relationship with the audience and making them laugh. Beyond finding humor in his own flaws, Wild seeks to share his views - mostly frustrations – on practically anything. He’s recently worked with comedians Louie Anderson, Tom Arnold, & Patrice ONeal (to name a few) and is fresh off of appearances in The World Series of Comedy as well as The 2011 Laugh Your Asheville Off Comedy Festival. Chase Roper of Punchline Magazine describes Wild as “A strong performer with a unique voice” and a show review by Odeum Entertainment calls him “A comedian to see over and over again.”
Prior to pursuing a career in comedy, Chet spent 4 years working various roles in higher education including: college residence hall director, adjunct lecturer in both music history and leadership, and college leadership specialist. While not busy with comedy, Chet is currently working on finishing his thesis to obtain his Master of Science degree from the International Center for Studies in Creativity at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
In addition to stand-up, Chet has worked as a comedic video journalist for Hearst Media, a staff writer for the NYC-based satirical business news show The Afternoon Call, and has done various freelance writing – most notably for The Wegmans Hillside Gala, writing sketches for and performing alongside none other than Alec Baldwin. Chet can now be heard co-hosting alongside Jamie Lissow (Comedy Central Presents, The Tonight Show) on the newly launched podcast aptly entitled Another Effing Podcast.
In his home area of Western New York, Chet has been seen on the cover of The Buffalo News, received a full page feature in Rochester Insider Magazine, and has been a reoccurring guest on Rochester morning radio’s The Wease Show. Chet's drive, professionalism, work ethic, and talents are quickly earning him the respect of both club owners and fellow comedians wherever he goes.
