Earthquake in Buffalo?!? Holy shit. 06/23/2010
It happened, and I hit the streets with my camera right afterward. Here's a spoof I did with Carl Paladino... enjoy. Also, I'm headed down to Arizona next week to hang out with my buddies Stu, Myke, and Don, and have comedy shows lined up 6 nights in a row, should be a blast. Stu and Mike are flying back up here to do shows with me in Rochester July 8, 9, 10th. Check the calendar for details. Below are a few pics from this past weekends show.... fthe first one is from the Thursday show with my comic friends Nigel Larson and Julia Solomon along with the hilarious and awesome Alysia Wood. The second picture is from the Saturday late show, some old Geneseo friends came out - was great seeing everyone! Fathers Day Advice 06/17/2010
Fathers Day is coming up this weekend and many people aren't sure what to do for their dads. I put together a list of Fathers Day DO's and DO NOT's for Western New Yorkers. Smoking Baby 06/15/2010
I just started a new job working for the allternataive news n entertainment website SkunkPost.com. Check out my first video: I put together a new Stand-Up Comedy Reel. It has 5 minutes of clean material from a college show and then a music montage with clips and pics from various clubs at the end. Why, you ask? Because I apparently live in 1987 where I think music montages are still cool! (If you want to skip to the montage, go to 4:45). Check it: It's apparently showcase week, as I have 3 showcases happening... Buffalo Tuesday and Wednesday, Rochester Thursday (check the calendar page for details). Below is the poster for the showcase I'm headlining Tuesday: I also just booked some shows this Fall working with Rob Little, Jimmy Shubert, Tom Simmons, & Rich Vos... so definitely some kickass shows ahead. That's all for now, come catch a showcase this week! -CW Future me; Some cool shows in May... 05/12/2010
My best friend from high school now lives in Long Island. Apparently, he lives in "future" Long Island and had a drink with Chet Wild 20 years from now.... seriously, the resemblance is disturbing. I've been uncharacteristically behind on posting some new content up here. That'll happen when you get caught up towards the end of the semester swamped with grad school. Anyway, that's almost done, and there are some really fun shows I'm a part of coming up soon. I'll be at The Blue Wall in South Buffalo (2720 Seneca Street) with Rust Belt Comedy at 9pm on Thursday May 20th ($5 cover), and the following Thursday I'll be hosting my showcase at The Comedy Club in Rochester which has a jam-packed line-up to kick off Memorial Day Weekend. As always, that show is free. Here's the facebook event link for the showcase. I added a few new summer shows on the calendar page, take a look. That's all for now... I promise some more exciting updates in the near future. CW Sketch; New Pics; My Health 04/05/2010
My friend Christopher Marriott wrote a paper boy sketch that I played a role in... major kudos to Matty Lorentz on the video effects. I finally got the pics from the Louie Anderson show I opened at off of a family members camera, here they are: Apparently, there was recent talk amongst Rochester comics about starting a death pool for me - as I have been MIA lately. I've pretty much kicked this never-ending flu (in fact, I don't think it's even a flu...). Anyway, after plowing through some grad work this week I'll be back to focusing more on comedy... Wednesday at Merge, Thursday at Buff State, and Friday at University at Buffalo (some comic-con like event).... Then after this weekend I'll be back to the grind of MC work at The Comedy Club in Rochester, working 3 out of the next 4 weekends after this weekend. Catch ya soon. CW Gettin' my ass KICKED by the flu 03/30/2010
SOOOO..... I spent April 18 - 28th at my parents.... I came down with a NASTY flu that literally handed my ass to me. Normal flu's only last a few days, but since I'm on some meds for ulcerative colitis that have depleted my white blood cell count, I've been out cold.... everything seems a blur. WORST of all, I had to cancel my 12 day trip to LA and all my gigs on the West Coast.... I'm not really a religious or supersitcious person, but I really hope there's some sort of reason or ryhme for this. Anyway, while I was watching an unhealthy amount of "Everybody Loves Raymond" (that show is on 1/3 of all cable channels during the day), fellow Buffalo comic Dan Fisher brought his camera to the weekly room I co-host at Merge Restaurant and put this nice piece together, check it out: Also, my old college roommate just got a tablet and decided to break it in by drawing a picture of me. He's was an engineer, not an artist. Checkout the gruesome accuracy: The weather is pretty nice, and now that the flu is about done kicking my ass anxiety over life is starting to kick it instead. Maybe I'll shave the beard. CW Merge Wednesday & Blue Wall Thursday 03/17/2010
Opening for Louie Anderson over the weekend was awesome... I'll share more on that once I get pics/video uploaded. In the meantime, get your drink on for St. Patty's day TONIGHT at the Rust Belt Comedy Open Mic. And South Buffalo, let's have some post-St. Patty's fun Thursday night at The Blue Wall... posters below, see ya there! Just confirmed it... I'm opening for Louie Anderson this Saturday night at The Seneca Allegany Casino. The events center seats well over 2,500 people - far and away the biggest venue I've stepped foot on stage for yet, it should be a blast. The show's at 8:00pm and tickets are available at TicketMaster.com for anyone interested in making the trip down to Salamanca. I can't wait!!! Also, the Lo Brau show was a lot of fun last Thursday. Thanks to Nicholas Marquis for taking some great photos (click below to enlarge). All the best, CW |
