I just flew in from LA last night, I've been out there the past 10 days participating in some fantastic comedy training with some ridiculously awesome comics (name dropping to take place in the next blog)... I also got to rock some sets showcasing at The Jon Lovtiz Comedy Club and opening for Kyle at the Brea Improv.

I'll blog about my LA trip soon, but in the meanwhile - check out the newest episode of "Behind The Funny" below - featuring the most ridiculous show intro yet!
Also, those in the Rochester/Buffalo area, don’t forget that THIS THURSDAY is “Chet Wild’s Comedy Showcase: College Comic Showdown Edition.”  8 comics from 12 colleges will be performing, along with special guest Mike Dambra!  Doors at 9:00pm, show at 9:30pm, FREE ADMISSION, all taking place at The Comedy Club in Rochester.  Here’s the Facebook event link, see ya there!

For those interested in getting a spot in the November Showcase which will take place Wednesday, November 25th at 7:30pm, please e-mail me your request NO LATER THAN October 31st (this Saturday) - ChetWild@gmail.com - thanks!

This week's episode of Behind The Funny with Chet Wild features a sit-down with none other than Jim Florentine.... I even have a small studio audience for this one!  Probably the funniest episode yet, check it:

I had the chance to work with Brad Trackman this past weekend and he was kind enough to sit down for a Behind The Funny as well with some fantastic stories, so be on the lookout for that in the next few weeks and make sure you see Brad if he comes anywhere near you.... or make a road trip to see him.... definitly worth it!

Lastly, I've announced the line-up for the October edition of Chet Wild's Comedy Showcase, which will be a College Comic Showdown featuring 12 comics from 8 area colleges.  You can check out the facebook event link by clicking here or view the poster below.

Headlining Comedian Angel Salazar…

…I won’t comment on how he was still sleeping in his hotel at 7:30pm when the first show was supposed to start at 7:30pm… and AGAIN sleeping when I introduced him to the stage at the late show.
…I won’t comment on how his most recent joke is circa 1988 (no… wait, he did have an interracial joke about Ted Danson and Whoopi Goldberg dating, that was early 1990s – right?).
…I won’t comment on why I think it’s a god-awful decision to-what-one-could-only-assume mix booze, cocaine, and oxycontin together EVER – let alone before a performance in front of people who paid hard-earned money to see your has-been ass from one movie that was made before I was even born.

…I will say THANK YOU to everyone in the audience who stuck around for the whole show.
…I will say THANK YOU to Rick Matthews for helping me debrief the audience and fill out the remaining 25+ minutes of the show.
…I will suggest that you listen to Brother Wease & the gang talk about the whole incident.  Click here for the radio clip... or should I say, "sheck it out!"

There will be a very special episode of “Behind The Funny” on how to be the world’s biggest douchenozzle and have an epic drug-induced meltdown on stage... and it'll feature the best man for that job, Angel Salazar.

Until then, enjoy this new episode featuring my visit to the sleep clinic to take care of my sleep apnea:
Below are a few pictures from the past 2 weekends, click to enlarge.
Feel free to click "comments" up top and leave one.

All the best,
